Treasurer, Rob Lucas contacted the AADC last night to quell concerns over the closure of the Motor Accident Commission.

Mr Lucas wanted to clarify that existing contracts will remain in place until June 2019 and the level of total expenditure is guaranteed to continue beyond that period.

The initial report on Monday did not make this clear.

Whether the same creative opportunity will exist, remains to be seen, but at least funding will remain in place and critical road safety campaigns will continue.

The Club welcomed the direct contact with the Treasurer and looks forward to continuing, open dialogue with the government over issues impacting the commercial communications industry.
