With an all new awards system this year, a number of members ran out of time on Friday to get their award entries to us by the closing time. We have decided in the interest of being fair to our membership to extend the award deadline for a further five days to 5pm on May 4th 2012. Work created from January 2011 to March 30th 2012 is eligible.

We know the system has changed and we wanted to extend this as an opportunity for our members to enter any pieces of work into other categories or even pieces of work you ran out of time to enter. If you had trouble understanding the new awards system this year, please email laila@aadc.com.au or jeremy@fnuky.com.au

Sponsor of the month

Congratulations KOJO!

AADC Platinum Sponsors and long time supporters of the club – KOJO – have been amidst the buzz around town the last week, as the premier of KOJO’s latest Hollywood film, The Lucky One, landed on the big screen.

Zac Efron, Taylor Shilling and Scott Hicks were all present for the glamorous event, as were thousands of (screaming) girls waiting to catch a glimpse of the Hollywood heartthrob.

The film, directed by Adelaidean director Scott Hicks, and the film’s VFX and coloursist Marty Pepper (KOJO Partner and AADC Awards Co-Chair), is a major coup for Adelaide.

Scott Hicks himself pointed out last night at the starstruck premier, the very strong ties the film has with Adelaide, from all the editing, VFX and colourising being completed at KOJO, to even using an Adelaide band in the film.

The Lucky One marked KOJO’s 21st feature film and also the companies 21st birthday. The AADC Executive congratulate and wish KOJO all the best in their 21st celebrations.

We are the lucky ones, thank you KOJO for your past and ongoing support of the AADC.

Scott Hick’s ‘The Lucky One’ is out April 19th.
