1. Who we prioritise
AADC social media and member communications primarily exist to support:
- AADC programs and events
- AADC sponsors and partners
- AADC Business Members.
Content submissions from Individual Members, our broader community and industry are accepted on a case-by-case basis, depending on fit.
2. What we can and can’t share
To maintain relevance and value for our community, we only share content that:
- Is industry-relevant (creative, advertising, production, design, strategy, media and technology).
- Offers clear benefit to AADC members (education, networking, opportunities and events).
- Aligns with our values of creativity, community and professionalism.
We do not share job advertisements but Business Members can share job listings on AADC’s Jobs Board.
We will not share content that is:
- Primarily commercial or sales-driven.
- Unrelated to the advertising/creative industries.
- Conflicting with AADC-run events, initiatives or values.
- Politically aligned or sensitive in nature.
- Low-quality, unclear or lacking required assets/information.
3. Event & timing considerations
We do our best to support our community, but we need to be realistic:
- AADC events take priority – If there is a clash (timing, overlap or similar audience), our own events will come first.
- Limited posting frequency – to avoid overwhelming our channels and members, we may limit how often external event or news requests are shared.
- Channel selection is at our discretion – some content may suit social media only, other content might work for our eDM – this is up to the AADC team to determine. Please note, we generally reserve eDM content for Club and sponsor communications.
- Lead time – please allow at least 7 days’ notice for requests so we can plan appropriately.
4. Reciprocity & acknowledgement
When we share your event, news/announcement, we ask for a small professional courtesy in return. Some ideas include:
A shoutout or tag for AADC:
Facebook @AADC
Instagram: @aadc.com.au
LinkedIn: Adelaide Advertising & Design Club
Inclusion of AADC’s logo where appropriate (events, screens, partner lists, etc).
Linking back to our website or events where relevant.
Discount or incentive for our members.
This helps us continue growing the Club and supporting the wider industry.
5. How to submit a request
Please email members@aadc.com.au
Include:
A short description
Dates/times
Social copy (if available)
Images/logos sized for social
Any relevant links.
Submitting content does not guarantee publication, but we will always assess requests fairly. The AADC Committee reserves the right to accept, decline or edit submissions to maintain the quality, tone and purpose of the Club's communications.
