Adelaide Advertising and Design Club (AADC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Maddie Tierney as the new Chair of She Creates, AADC’s flagship initiative focused on inspiring and empowering women across the advertising, design and broader creative communications industry.

Founded to champion female voices, She Creates drives meaningful opportunities for a more inclusive creative community in South Australia. Under the leadership of outgoing Co-Chairs Elise Rundell and Amy Lambert, the initiative strengthened its impact through events, mentorship and outreach, and continues to play an important role in supporting women at every stage of their careers.

Maddie steps into the role with a strong commitment to community, equity and creative leadership. As Chair, she will guide the strategic direction of She Creates, working closely with AADC Co-Presidents Sarah Luthaus and Corey Swaffer, alongside industry partners, to further expand the initiative’s reach and influence.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the She Creates committee alongside a stimulating group of women. Through my work, I’ve seen the power of collaboration and visibility, and this role perfectly aligns who I am with how I work,” says Maddie. “I’m driven by building meaningful connections, and I’m excited to bring that energy to a community that celebrates women, creativity and shared growth.”

AADC Co-President Sarah Luthaus welcomed the appointment, noting, “Having Maddie step into this role ensures the ongoing growth and success of She Creates. She’s already highly respected in our industry because she connects easily with people, is thoughtful and innovative, and always backs her ideas with action. We’re excited to see what Maddie can bring to the table.”

Co-President Corey Swaffer added, “I’ve worked closely with Maddie in her production role and her positivity, passion and ability to move mountains is inspiring. We are so fortunate to have her as the new She Creates Chair.”

Under Maddie’s leadership, She Creates will continue to deliver inspiring events, spotlight female talent and advocate for positive change across Adelaide’s creative landscape.
