Video: There’s No Place Like Home Office

If you missed last month’s There’s No Place Like Home (Office) Zoom event, you’re in luck. We recorded the session and it’s now available below. Feel free to take a look and share with others.

There’s No Place Like Home (Office) – May 22nd 2020

There is no question this pandemic has had, and will have, far-reaching effects on our social and working lives. While the fear of the unknown has been unsettling for most, and terrifying for some, it also provides an opportunity for us to rethink how we live and work. Has a better way of doing things been unearthed? Can our workforces become more efficient while being more flexible? Will shoppers be forever wedded to online purchasing or will there be a swing back to more localised, physical shopping? Or is this just a disruptive blip that, once out of the way, will see us return to the way things were?

As a creative community, we must challenge ourselves, seek to improve and explore new opportunities. It is, or at least should be, part of our DNA and something the AADC wants to provide stimulating platforms for. There’s No Place Like Home (Office), held remotely on the 22nd May, was an exploration and discussion about what has happened, but more importantly, what impact it will continue to have.

The Adelaide Advertising and Design Club (AADC) is Australia’s oldest, continuously operating industry body and its purpose is to inspire, promote, connect and support the creative communications industry. There’s No Place Like Home (Office) is one example of the types of insightful and educational events undertaken by the Club, and has provided it with the opportunity to gain, and share, a global perspective. We sincerely thank our panelists for taking the time to share their thinking, observations and insights.
