AADC is turning 50 – and we’re throwing a party worthy of the legacy. Inspired by the legendary energy of Studio 54, this milestone celebration brings together five decades of creative brilliance, industry antics and unforgettable moments.
On Thursday 20 November 2025, Observatory 23 in Hackney will come alive with red-carpet energy and retrospective storytelling. Expect to rub shoulders with legends, leaders and up-and-comers in the industry.
The story of AADC began half a century ago when a telegram went out to local art directors, inviting them to explore the idea of forming a club for networking and creative inspiration. Ten answered the call, and from that small gathering, Australia’s longest continuously-running creative communities was born. Since then, AADC has become a hub for connection, recognition and inspiration – celebrating game-changing ideas and the people who make them happen.
“Of course, AADC has also built a reputation for throwing some of the industry’s most talked-about parties – and this one will be no exception,” says AADC Co-President Paul (PK) Kitching. “A 50th birthday only comes once and we’re making sure this one goes down in history."
AADC Co-President, Sarah Luthaus added: “Whether you helped shape this industry, or you’re just starting out, we’re inviting the people and personalities who built this community alongside the ones carrying it forward.”
If you’ve ever partied with AADC (or plan to in the future), this is the one you can’t miss. Tickets are strictly limited and will sell out. Get your name on the list here.
And be sure to keep an eye on our socials from 1 October as we launch our 50 Years of Creativity showcase in the 50 day countdown to this event.
