The AADC is pleased to announce Nic Eldridge as its latest Co-President. Nic is Founder & Creative Director of the design practice, sector7g, and last year held the role of Awards Co-Chair on the Club’s Executive Committee. Prior to getting involved with the AADC, Nic also served as CEO of industry-body AGDA, and a Board Member for HETA incorporated.
Eldridge replaces outgoing Co-President, Taylor Martin, and will share the role with Joe Godsell, who has held the role since January 2022.
Said Godsell: "I'm thrilled to have Nic on board, he has been integral to the Club in ensuring that we are appealing and useful to both the Advertising and Design industry and will continue on that journey.”
“As for me, I will be focusing on creating more mutually beneficial sponsorship arrangements, where we design events in collaboration with our sponsors. Our financial contributors should be able to see a direct benefit from their investment. We already have many long-term relationships, and we look forward to extending that list all so that we can provide even more value to the Adelaide Creative Industry.”
“I'd like to thank Taylor for her incredible two years at the helm, she has brought an infectious energy to the Club and will continue to do so in her new position."
Said Martin, “The opportunity to help steer the Club’s future has been nothing short of special, and it’s no lie that I’ve loved every second of the last two years. It’s hard to play favourites, though one of the best things has been working alongside a group of incredibly talented and genuinely good people who give their time to the Club. Hours that would usually be spent with family, friends or work go into helping shape the industry they love so much.”
“Joe has shown he’s a force to be reckoned with, bringing The AADC Annual Talks to life and implementing new ways of thinking for the Club’s future benefit. Nic brings with him a wealth of knowledge, and a desire to bring more of the industry together. Together —and with the support of the wider committee— the Club’s in a great position. I’m excited.” says Martin.
“Stepping into the spot left by Taylor is a big ask. Her unflappable energy and focus on doing what is best for the club has been a big part of the strong direction the AADC has forged during her tenure. Taylor has been instrumental in building, and growing, a vibrant community within our industry. I will be focused on continuing that work to build a broader community of creatives, along with a keen eye on sustainable practice for AADC across all our activities.” says Eldridge.
