The AADC works hard to inspire students to develop their careers through learning about, experiencing, and better understanding the industry.

We've implemented a range of programs that run each year, accessible to all students, regardless of age or employment.

Make sure you don't miss out on your chance to take part in any one of these programs, by signing up for Student Membership to the Club.

AdMental

AdMental is an annual event that asks emerging Advertising Creatives to create an online viral video with a mental health and wellbeing message.

Each year, students respond to a brief from which two are selected to compete in a Gruen Transfer-style pitch, playing their ads to a live audience and judging panel made up of industry seniors.

The panel discuss the merit of each spot before awarding the Geoff Robertson Memorial Trophy to the lucky winner. In 2021, the winner was also awarded a scholarship to AWARD School as part of the prize.

AdCrawl

AdCrawl offers students an opportunity to follow a real creative brief from a client, from initial briefing right through to dispatch.

After receiving the brief, students hop on a bus and visit a Media Agency, Creative Agency, Production House and then Design Agency — all helping to craft final ideas to answer the brief.

Students then have 24 hours to work in pairs and craft their entry, before meeting in front of a high-profile billboard to see their work come to life on the big screen.

AdMentor

The program is open to all final year tertiary students who are looking to make their first steps into the Creative Services Industry. The mentorship is lead by more than 20 Mentors with skill sets ranging from Art Direction, Copywriting, Graphic Design, Digital Strategy, Audio, Video Editing, Animation, Acting and more from all of the top agencies in Adelaide.

AADC Awards

The AADC Awards are held each year, and we offer free entries to tertiary students in the categories of Idea and Craft.

Your work will be judged by a panel of leading experts from around Adelaide, and if awarded, shown on-screen in front of 200+ people from creative businesses all around town. Plus, you'll pick up a nice trophy!

AdIntern

Later this year, we will launch our latest initiative "AdIntern", providing students an opportunity to gain first-hand experience in a number of agencies, production houses, design studios and more around town.
